Information for Buyers

Buying a home in Toronto can be exciting, daunting, confusing, exhilarating and challenging all at once.  The Buying market in this city moves at a rapid pace, and requires that potential Buyers have all of their ‘ducks-in-a-row’.  It’s important to know the steps, and work with someone who can guide you through the process.  The best part about working with Brendon during the buying process is that it is FREE!  (We are paid by the Seller’s).  There is no reason not to work with a Realtor when Buying, and whether or not you choose Brendon Basner, it truly is an asset to have someone knowledgable on your side.

Good Ideas For Buyers:

1. Get a Mortgage Pre-Approval from your Bank.  Whether you choose to use them as your lender, this will help you get an idea of your budget, as well as current lending rates.  It’s free, and the information is very helpful.  You can always shop around for a better rate later.

2. Drive a few neighbourhoods you are interested in, and visit Open Houses.  This will give you a sense of what homes are listing for. Share this info with your Realtor.  They will be able to tell you what homes sell for in the end. This is VERY valuable information, especially in markets where homes sell above or below list price.

3. Communicate your ideas with your Realtor.  The more you share in the beginning, the happier you will be in the End.
